Feetle Unlimited levels

Each level sets how far the start word sits from FEET. Easy ladders take four steps at best, medium five and hard six or seven. Every start word is an everyday word, so you never begin on something obscure. The rules are the same as the daily game, explained in how to play.

Hard ladders usually need a detour: the obvious first change leads to a dead end, and the shortest route goes through a word that looks further away. If you get stuck, try a different vowel first, or check the route with the word ladder solver afterwards.

Practice for the daily puzzle

Unlimited play is the quickest way to learn the common routes into FEET. Most ladders finish through FEED, FEEL, FELT, BEET or MEET, so spotting a word that can reach one of those in a step or two is half the game. Our word ladder game guide covers the history and classic ladders, and the answer archive shows how each original puzzle was solved, most recently Feetle #9.

When you are ready, go back to the daily Feetle and try to finish at par without a hint.

Feetle Unlimited FAQ

How many Feetle Unlimited ladders can I play?

As many as you like. Press New for a fresh start word at any time; your daily streak on the daily ladder is not affected.

What do the levels mean?

Easy puzzles have a par of 4 steps, medium 5 and hard 6 or 7. Par is counted through common words, so a rare word can beat it.

Do hints cost anything?

No. A hint shows the next word on one shortest route from your current word. Your result notes how many you used when you share it.
